Today I would love to introduce you to Apple Of My Pie Woodland Weddings. Apple of My Pie is an intimate 3 acres of woodland in Scholes near Leeds, just a stone’s throw from both the M1 and A64. It is the perfect location for a rural outdoor wedding and provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic outdoor wedding. It boasts a ceremony area, seating areas, woodland walks and a large decked area with fire pit basin in the heart of the trees. It also has a large open area perfect for wedding yurts, tepees or a marquee that is reached by following the festoon light lit pathways.
The venue is an intimate, purpose designed wedding venue. Unlike a blank site such as a farmer’s field where the couple would have to arrange all the different elements themselves, Apple Of My pie provide all you would expect from a traditional wedding venue. They have a perimeter around the woodland, meaning that it can be booked exclusively and couples can decorate as little or as much as they would like.Continue reading
I had the pleasure of visiting a stunning new venue a couple of weeks ago. Healey Barn is a stunning new addition to the North East wedding scene. It opened in June 2015 and is run by the Cripps Barn Group team who have over 20 years’ experience in running weddings and events. They already have three beautiful barn wedding venues in the southern counties and chose the quaint hamlet of Healey in Northumberland to house their fourth.
Healey Barn is made up of a handsome set of stone barns which offers something quite different to the traditional country house or hotel wedding venue. As much of the original farm buildings were kept during renovations as could be, and the owners sourced local materials to complete the reconstruction. When you walk into the barns there is such a lovely spacious feel due to the high ceilings made of exposed wooden beams, it is certainly what I expected of a barn and more.Continue reading
On Sunday 20 September, Morden Hall, a historic 18th Century manor house in South London, launched as the latest, exclusive wedding venue. It is the perfect place to host countryside weddings in London.
Morden Hall is surrounded by 125 acres of beautiful National Trust parkland and private grounds which makes this venue unique within the capital. It’s manicured grounds surround the property and the River Wandle runs through the heart of the parkland, which provides a haven for the wildlife. All of this is just a stone’s throw away from bustling city life, with convenient links to the heart of London on the Northern line.Continue reading
