Today I am thrilled to introduce you to the House of Ollichon and the first dress-less bridal collection!
Elegance has evolved and there are many things which have inspired Hannah Ollichon in the creation of House of Ollichon’s first dress-less bridal collection which offers brides and bridesmaids a range of luxury jumpsuits, playsuits and combos which are all designed and handmade in England.
Hannah tells us “I was so lucky to marry my lovely, French husband twice. After a very simple ‘friends only’ registry office do followed by a big wedding in France, I had experienced both ends of the wedding spectrum.” Hannah thought that a big dress seemed too much fuss for Islington Town Hall but she still wanted something special, but that wouldn’t add another line to their budget! Hannah had already spent a fortune on her gown for the main wedding; which she ended up ruining by dancing until 6am. She said “I just WISH I had changed so I could have gone even more bonkers on the dance floor and resold it afterwards.”
But Hannah isn’t the only one who opted for something a little quirkier. Solange, Olivia and Amal all opted for the dress-less option. Today, alternatives to wedding dresses are limited, with mainly ‘break the bank’ designers, or high street options which simply don’t provide the special touches that brides desire and deserve.
House of Ollichon creations are so versatile that they’re not just bridal wear. Teamed with the right accessories you can wear the designs anywhere! The combo range was initially designed for bridesmaids to offer a mix and match range. Hannah has been a bridesmaid seven times so knows it’s very important to feel individual but still complement each other. However, this combo range is now proving increasingly popular for ancillary occasions such as the cocktail, brunch, registry office do or, to change into to dance like crazy!
Bringing her adopted French roots to the designs, Hannah has sourced beautiful French bridal lace from the famous Dentelle region in northern France and is proud that House of Ollichon uses quality European fabrics such as luxury Italian tissutos, English crepes and 100% silk organzas. Hannah said “I adore simple pieces which have one main, individual feature. My other love is textures; from linen to leather, crochet to fur I am attracted to anything that would add texture to an outfit.”
And the best bit…every single House of Ollichon piece is made with a huge amount of love, care and experience right here by hand in England.
