Today I have the pleasure in featuring Nathalie Selvon-Bruce from Buttercup Bus VW Campers and her Vintage Wedding Picnic ideas. Buttercup Bus VW Campers offer retro campervan hire for wedding transport, self-drive adventures and photo booths set up inside a campervan. Operating from Croydon on the South London, Surrey and Kent border, they have a selection of six pretty pastel campervans and a soft top beetle.
Nathalie has some great ideas on how you could use a campervan apart from transport on your wedding day, including a Vintage Wedding Picnic.

So you’re getting married? Congratulations! I bet you’ve already been dreaming about your dress and maybe the venue and who you’ll ask to be bridesmaids. But what about the feel of the wedding?
This is a little more ambiguous but equally important, for you and your guests. The atmosphere of the wedding will be created by lots of things: the people who are there, the décor, the style and the music. It might help to do yourself a mood board with clippings from magazines to inspire you and narrow down the style you’re after. Think about things like the lighting, maybe creating scents with flowers and candles and little random things like a treasure hunt for after your wedding breakfast or a few outdoor games.Continue reading

Everyone wants incredible moments captured at their wedding and so calling upon a professional wedding photographer is the first thing to do. However many brides-to-be have the same question on their mind – “Why is wedding photography so expensive?”
Manta Makes offers wedding decor, personalised items and keepsakes for all the family made from wood. They also offer custom designs.
The company is called Manta Makes because Samantha and her partner visited Hawaii in 2013 to swim with Manta Rays. Almost like stingrays these beautiful creatures ‘dance’ in the water. They were lucky enough to swim with a Manta Ray ‘Clara’ – named by the local divers. The couple always wanted to have their own business and knew what they wanted to make, but just couldn’t decide on a name. After the birth of their daughter in 2014, they researched their business idea further and reminisced on their holiday to Hawaii and the name just came together – ‘Manta Makes’.
Congratulations on your engagement….Now where do you start! Firstly enjoy the moment, tell everyone and if you have your ring show it off, relish the attention. Once you have lowered yourself off cloud nine, write down your visions for your wedding BUT write them separately without looking and then swap over…this way you will understand what each other want from the day. Ask yourself not only what type of venue do you want, what your budget is, what style of wedding but also who do you want there, what is the most important part of the day for you and how you can portray both your personalities into the day!
